Three Services, Carefully Defined

Each service at Orchid Advocates has a clear scope, a stated fee, and a defined outcome. We do not offer retainers or open-ended engagements.

Our Methodology

How We Approach Every Matter

Every engagement at Orchid Advocates begins with listening. Before any document is reviewed or any letter drafted, we spend time understanding the client's situation as they experience it — not just the legal question, but the context around it.

We then set out, in writing, what the engagement will involve, what it will cost, and what the client can expect to receive at the end. Nothing begins until that outline has been agreed.

During the work, we communicate in plain language. If something is uncertain, we say so. If further steps may be warranted, we explain why — and then leave the decision entirely with the client.

Pension Documentation Review

Service 01

Pension Documentation Review

A patient review of the client's pension paperwork — old employment contracts, scheme booklets, CPF statements, beneficiary nomination forms, and correspondence — set out as a written summary that explains, in plain language, what each document is, how it bears on the client's position, and what, if anything, may be worth attending to.

The review is delivered as a printed folder so the client can read at home and return with questions at a follow-up session included in the fee.

Service 02

Quiet Negotiation in Pension Disputes

Where there is a disagreement with an employer, scheme administrator, or family member over pension entitlements, the firm conducts unhurried, written negotiation aimed at reaching a settled outcome. The work begins with a careful assessment of the client's standing.

The process proceeds through measured correspondence, and only moves to formal proceedings if the client wishes. Throughout, the client is kept fully informed and never pushed toward any particular course.

Service 03

Lasting Power of Attorney with Pension Provisions

The work includes a careful conversation about who might be appointed as donee, an explanation of the practical implications, and the preparation, witnessing, and registration of the instrument with the Office of the Public Guardian. Unhurried, with time built in for reflection.
