Why Orchid Advocates
What a Considered Practice Offers
There are several firms in Singapore. What sets Orchid Advocates apart is not speed or scale — it is the attention given to every matter, large or small.

Six Reasons Clients Choose Us
Pension Specialisation
We do not spread ourselves across every area of law. Our work is concentrated in pension and CPF matters, which means our reading of a situation is deeper and more current.
No Artificial Pace
We do not move faster than is needed or than the client wishes. Decisions about pension arrangements deserve reflection, and we build that time into every engagement.
Fixed, Disclosed Fees
Each service has a stated fee. There are no hourly billing surprises and no ambiguity about what a matter will cost before it begins.
Plain English Throughout
All written summaries, correspondence, and explanations are produced without legal jargon where plain language will serve. Clients are never left holding a document they cannot understand.
Senior Attention on Every File
Work is not passed down to unsupervised juniors. A senior member of the practice reads every file and is available to answer questions directly.
Mandarin & English
Consultations may be conducted in English or Mandarin. Clients are encouraged to communicate in whichever language they find most natural.
Professional Expertise
Our advocates have spent the greater part of their careers working within pension and CPF law. They know the standard scheme booklet formats, the common nomination errors, the relevant CPF Act provisions, and the OPG registration process — not in the abstract, but from repeated application in real client situations.
- Over 14 years' combined experience in pension and CPF matters
- Former OPG legal officer on the team
- Current Law Society membership
We use secure document management systems to store client files, encrypted communications for sensitive correspondence, and CPF Online verification tools to cross-reference stated entitlements. Technology in our practice serves accuracy and security — not speed for its own sake.
- Encrypted file storage and communications
- Digital cross-referencing of CPF statements
- Secure client portal for document exchange

Client Service
Every client receives a named contact at the practice — not a rotating receptionist or a general inbox. Follow-up questions are answered by the same person who handled the work. Appointments are confirmed in advance and respected.
- Named advocate assigned from first contact
- Response to enquiries within one working day
- Saturday appointments available on request
Our fees are competitive for a specialist practice in Singapore. A documentation review at SGD 195, a dispute negotiation at SGD 390, and an LPA with pension provisions at SGD 280 represent a considered and accessible pricing structure. We do not charge for the initial introductory call.
- All fees stated before any work begins
- No open-ended hourly billing
- Initial call at no charge

Results & Outcomes
The measure of our work is whether clients finish each engagement with a clearer picture of their position and a sense that the matter has been handled with care. For dispute matters, the goal is a settled outcome without recourse to formal proceedings where possible. We track our outcomes and can speak to them honestly.
- Majority of disputes resolved through correspondence
- Written summary provided at every engagement close
- Follow-up available if circumstances change

What Sets Us Apart
Distinctive Features of the Practice
Delivered as a Printed Folder
Our documentation reviews are delivered as a printed, tabbed folder — not a PDF attachment. Clients can sit with it at home, mark it up, and return with questions. This is deliberately old-fashioned, and clients find it useful.
No Pressure to Proceed
After a documentation review, there is no expectation that you will engage us for further work. The review is complete in itself. We are comfortable being the first step that leads elsewhere.
Client-Led Dispute Pace
In dispute work, the client decides at each step whether to proceed to the next. We do not issue letters of demand without explicit instruction. We do not make representations without sign-off. The pace is yours.
Reflection Built into LPA Process
Our LPA engagements include a scheduled pause — usually a week between draft review and finalisation — so that clients and their families can consider the donee arrangements without time pressure. The instrument is important; the preparation should match that.
